1490

That's the score i hope to attain for SATs this year. Sounds out of this world to me..but well..i must really mug hard this time. Hope i can get into Berkeley/Cornell/California. I think i'm nuts. Those universities are among the top 15 in the US. *doinks* oh well. will still go for it. Hope to get a minimum of 790 for math and 700 for verbal. yeah, mon.

Okies. A brief chronicle of the week's happenings. Monday was stay at home and slack day. After going for the talk on whether or not belief in god is compatible with science, was discussing religion and all the related stuff with jocelyn yan and my dear bro through msn. I didn't know my bro was like so against religion. He claims he's someone who accepts scientific facts instead of relying on his faith. Oh well, like what jocelyn yan said, to teach his own. I realised that Ms Yan and I have plenty in common. hah. Shan't say what, but well..it was really cool to talk to her.

Tuesday was FOS day. Festival of Sports i mean. Aiks has been lamenting that us Singaporeans have this bad habit of using acronyms/abbreviations whenever and for whatever. Shan't talk bout the details, but achieved 63 were champions for volleyball, first runners-up for table tennis (only losing to the teachers), and second runners-up for basketball. Was supposed to play table tennis at first..but eventually let Yue Ling take my place. He did really well i must say. haha. Really cool watching everyone playing and participating in the fun. Everyone from 63 who went down to the volleyball/basketball courts were cheering so spontaneously. It was so awesome man. I think it's apt to say 63 is one of the classes in HwaChong with the best class spirit. =D =D Lost in the semifinals of basketball to 64, with the two giants chun ho and colin. hai. Victor was simply sensational, perpetually "swoosh"-ing 3-pointers. We couldn't contain the 2 giants though, and after the 2 giants in our class Yue Ling and Freddie were fouled out, it really compounded our misery even further. Hai. I'm sorry team..I gave the ball away so many times. hai.

Anyway, played soccer as well..first round up against 69, who i considered to be one of the favourites to win the competition. Damn. The first goal i conceded was a volley from lawrence i think. The ball just brushed past my fingers and landed up in the goal. Dammit. If my arms were like 3 cm longer i would've gotten to the ball. Urgh. The next goal i conceded was stupid. I passed the ball straight to Darrell from 69, who apparently is also in the school's soccer team, and he scored without much hesitation. Then i was really pissed with myself. Victor was really the only one in our class providing the cutting edge for offense. So i decided to get out of my goal to help him in attack. Woah. Immediately after the kickoff, after i exchanged passes with Victor, i scored with a left foot shot within like 30 seconds. However my joy was short-lived. The FOS had a new rule that goalkeepers couldn't pick up intentional backpasses with their hand. And Samuel did so. penalty. Even though i saved it, 69 kept piling on the pressure and eventually they scored another one. hai. sorry team. If i didn't concede the 2 stupid goals, we probably would've won. But oh well, had tonsa fun.

Anyway on Wednesday there was student development programme, Royston Tan the local filmmaker came over to like showcase his work. It was quite cool. Don Richmond from Perfect 10 came over to talk to us as well. There was also a special cameo appearance by Mr Careless Whisperer, also known as Mr Patrick Khoo, yknow the guy from Singapore Idol. Yeah, guess it rings a bell. He was singing You're beautiful by James Blunt. Oh well, i shall keep the comments to myself.

Got econs papers back on friday. OMG man. For those who haven't heard. I have exemplified the epitomy of tyco-ness. I calculated my score for my promos paper. It was 47.56. Damn. So much for studying 5 days consecutively for econs. After which Janine was passing around a class list with everyone's overall score. I noticed that my overall grade was E. I couldn't believe it. I checked my overall score for the entire year. 49.5!!!! hahahahahaha. dammit man. I don't think i can be any more fortunate for the rest of my life. I think it's safe to say i will be promoted, considering Geog should be no problem if i wanna get a pass. Oh wells. I'll keep my hopes up, but i'll prepare for the worst. GP tomorrow! Best of luck everyone!

Yesterday was totally cool. OCIP ice-breaking session at Sentosa. Got to know almost everyone that's going already. We played some cool ice-breaking games, frisbee, which i scored the winning try ;) Then the guys and some of the girls played beach soccer. Man i didn't think it'd be soooo fun. It was so cool la. My ex-classmate from primary school, Jasmine, is still so pro in soccer. And she was in my team for both matches. And she's not even in HwaChong soccer team. They should seriously contemplate asking her to join the team man. She scored this fantabulous goal. Yknow Samuel accidentally hit the ball to her..and what she did...many guys can't even do. I think even I can't do it. She just chipped the ball, it went over Samuel's head, into the top corner of the goal. like how zai la. Anyway i formed a formidable attacking partnership with Jasmine, and another guy from 79, coincidentally his name's Royston too. Among us we scored 5 goals..and i think i made like 4 or 5 assists ;) My foot's laced with lacerations now though. =( Anyway after that we played volleyball, it was really fun too. haha. Tried to spike a few times. but failed horribly. Oh well. Just kept trying. But still failed. whoopsie daisy.

Had lunch at Harbour Front food court with Royston, Aaron Aubrey(audrey), Bernard, David, Adrea, Mr Tan, Heidi and Cheng Ying. The 4 of us, Royston, Aubrey, Bernard and I were sitting at a separate table just talking bout lame stuff and just crapping. It's so cool la. First day knowing each other and we've formed our own crapping group. Can't wait to go Thailand now. hehe. Got tonsa stuff to prepare though. Anybody who'd like to donate some money to the orphanages pls step right up!
